Nickelodeon announced this past Wednesday that a revival of Double Dare, the sloppiest, grossest, kids’ game show is slated to air this summer.

40 brand-new episodes were ordered with Marc Summers returning to host. Familiar faces are also said to return, along with modern day celebrities making an appearance.

The new and improved show will include the same format as the original series, two teams competing for prizes (please let there still be roller blades and a grand prize trip to NASA space camp!) by answering trivia questions and taking part in the coveted physical challenges. The winning team will be able to take a shot at the final obstacle course, full of hamster wheels, booger filled noses, and that sweet (heh) slide with a dessert destination.

Nickelodeon

Double Dare originally aired from 1986-1993 and had a few spin-offs including Super Sloppy Double Dare, Fox’s Family Double Dare, and Double Dare 2000.

I may be a little bitter I never harangued my family to audition for Double Dare 2000

Looking forward to this revival? Got kids of your own you want to drag along for an audition? Let us know in the comments!
