The Baywatch Trailer proves they are going the similar route of 21 Jump Street and making this whole thing a massive comedy. The original series, which was originally created and developed by the one and only David Hasselhoff, was usually portrayed with a bit more of a serious tone.

BAYWATCH follows devoted lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (Johnson) as he butts heads with a brash new recruit (Efron). Together, they uncover a local criminal plot that threatens the future of the Bay.
